My lie is actually #1. I read (and enjoyed) "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse, but never read "Steppenwolf."

I did read "Thus Spake Zarasthrusta when I was in my 20s; I would have probably benefited from reading it in college.

#3 for Isabella. She likes Tem very much---but she very much wants to live on her own.

1. I enjoyed "War and Peace."

2. I enjoyed "Anna Karenina."

3. I didn't enjoy "Tom Jones."

My lie was actually 2. I haven't done any ancestry work for quite a while, because I always hit the same dead-ends.

Korts' lie is 3.

Indeed that is so! I did enjoy "Tom Jones"----though it has a reputation as being a boring novel.

1. I left my house at 5:35 AM this morning.

2. I arrived at the Library at 7:35.

3. My manager had a migraine, so she didn't come in.

2. I think you left a little later.

Your manager gets a lot of migraines. :(

Nope LOL....I left at 5:35 this morning, and I arrived at about 7:05. I wanted to have some breakfast before I opened.

1. There were a goodly amount of patrons today.

2. I was able to take a 20-minute break.

3. I had to work overtime.

"A goodly amount" ? :P Considering it's September you likely did have a goodly amount.

I think 2 is your lie.

It's #3. Overtime is usually not allowed. I am restricted, usually, to working 20 hours a week.

1. My favorite color is green.

2. I wish I had more pastel-colored shirts.

3. I wish I knew how to fold and iron clothes properly.

1. My father's sister was an expert about china dishes.

2. My mother's brother lived off the grid, in hiding for drug charges.

3. My brother is obsessed with Tom Petty.

#2 for Isabella.

My lie is #1. My favorite color is red. I don't know how to fold or iron clothes properly (I should, since I'm 58 years old LOL).

1. A friend and I used to try to hitch rides on backs of trucks in the middle of Manhattan back in the 1970s.

2. I was once slapped in the head by some kid who waved his arm outside a subway train window.

3. I was allowed to stay with someone in Greenwich Village for a week in 1978. I had run away from home then.

I just realised I forgot to put a lie. Mine were all true. One of my American uncles fled to Vancouver Island and lived in the wild. He looked like Kris Kristofferson.

3 is your lie.

Yep, it's #3. I only spent one night with that person. Then my father took me home.

1. I wouldn't mind meeting Nigella Lawson.

2. I wouldn't mind meeting Bruce Springsteen.

3. I wouldn't mind meeting Boris Johnson.

2.

I think 2 for you. I've never heard you mention Springsteen. I saw him live: worst show I've ever seen.

It’s #3. Boris Johnson seems annoying.

I’ve never seen Springsteen. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with him.

I thought it would be kind of fun, but it was boring and sedate. Yawn.

1. My hair is in a twist.

2. My hair is in a Dutch braid.

3. My hair is getting cut this week.

#3? You only trim your hair once in a while.
