I have 2 younger cousins, they are 11 and 13. They both think of me as their strange male cousin. They are both girls. They dont understand much of my behavior. At family events I get overstimulated and take breaks. Both of them want to hang out with me. They are really social. They also really dont understand that touch is not something I like. They love touching my hair and tickling me. I tell them not to. They also always ask why I flap my hands or why I rock. They also think its weird that I still really like putting things in my mouth. I have multiple stim toys for it. I love chewing. I also love rubbing the carpet and curtains. My cousins are always curious about that. They also think its weird that I hate eye contact. They are very nice but they dont know much. They get so annoyed because whenever I go to their house, they have to be quiet. They also have told me that I act like a kid and that I am adorable

My parents aunts uncles explained my condition to my little cousins, why I act the way I do and how to treat me.

I think this is the best route. I'm glad I have a small family and it's all adults (for the time being).

At 11 & 13 they're plenty old enough to understand.

What do you think the best way to educate them about you is? Are you able to verbally tell them what you'd like them to know so they understand vs. think you're weird or whatever?

Then how about writing? Like a letter, or an email.

That's a good idea.
