Anyone remember fast food places having salt and pepper shak

Does anyone here remember fast food places having salt and pepper shakers at the tables. I remember back in the day fast food places used to have salt and pepper shakers at all the tables. Nowadays if you want salt or pepper you have to ask the people at the registers for some packets.

Some places still have the shakers & some places have the packs set up so the customers can get it themselves. I kind of prefer the packs to the shakers cuz I remember seeing a kid sucking on the salt shaker 1ce like it was a pacifier. The kid was old enough to know better too like 10 & his parents were at the table & didn't seem to care. I'm kind of worried about the germs on/in the shakers after that.

Gross I never considered the salt and pepper shakers being germy. The fast food joint where I live has salt and pepper shakers.
