Do you laugh out loud at things when you are alone e.g. T.V. , Films , Youtube videos , thoughts you've had etc.

If you do , do you know anyone who doesn't. My GF doesn't and thinks I'm the weird one because I do.

I laugh out loud at funny things in private and in public.
I am gutsy like that.

Other.

Something funny can make me do anything from not even smile (while laughing on the inside) to laugh myself into a coughing fit. I don't know why the same thing can elicit such difference response, but it does. It's not dependent on being alone or not though.

If I'm alone in public though, I try to stifle it (which usually makes me struggle not to laugh out loud).

If I see something funny in public like someone bumping into something or falling over , I really have to stiffle my laughter but sometimes I can't control it which makes me look weird.

Oh, yes! Not a lot seems funny, but when it is I am chortling. In public, I put my hand over my mouth and turn away as if I am about to sneeze. :D

Yes. I laugh out loud when I am alone.

Especially at animal videos on Instagram.

I think people do laugh more in company though. I saw or read something along those lines years ago.

But most people laugh on their own I think.

Sometimes all I have to do is think about something I found really funny, and the way it replays in my mind is so vivid I start laughing again.

I laugh the same whether I'm alone or not. It's pretty quiet, though, even when I'm laughing so hard I can barely breathe. I'd always thought laughter was more of a natural response than a purely social thing.

I'd never laugh out loud if that was the case. I am always alone!

I have chuckled on parade (military) when someone flubs marching. Then I do the same thing but never notice! Although EVERYONE can't help but notice.

It's normal to laugh out loud, whether you are alone or with someone.

I told my GF this ( and the current poll scores ) but now she wants to know if it's Aspie normal and NT's don't do it :?:
She's not an NT ( not Aspie either ) so I don't know why she wants to know.

when i am alone, i laugh out loud less frequently than when i am not alone.

however i am almost always alone.

what i do not understand (besides, of course, everything), is why precious lil "people" act like almost everything is funny. and it is not just funny, it is uproariously funny. like everything is funny or everything ought to have been funny.

the aikido instructor said "matte". ("stop")

two customers kept going. he said matte again.

they stopped and said "sorry".

the instructor laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world.

is it just b/c i am introverted, withdrawn, hateful, bitter, angry, distressed, disturbed, wounded, grouchy and grumpy?

so many precious lil "people" find so many things so f*****g funny.

even when they are not laughing at me, their noise hrrts my f*****g ears s**t.

Save ferris

Yes I am still doing aikido. It has been over ten years and over 450 lessons.

Feel like I am not getting better and only getting worse.

Right now I owe the head instructor about 400 bucks. She has not gone to the dojo when I was there, since July last year.

At this point I simply cannot justify aikido financially.

No job

Maslow's hierarchy

Besides, at this point I must have reached at least 80 percent of my potential

The solar system contains a lot of dangerous, expensive, socially awkward activities, that I am also bad at. Why should I waste a disproportionate amount of time, money and energy on aikido?

I rarely laugh out loud. I find things are mildly amusing or just amusing far more than things being funny. Things that are amusing to me don't seem to illicit any outward response more than maybe a smile. I will laugh at things that I think are funny and on rare occasion if I find something extremely funny I will laugh out loud heartily. On EXTREMELY rare occasion I find something so funny that I laugh so hard that "no sound comes out", as we say in our family.

I don't see why you wouldn't laugh out loud when you're alone.
If it's funny, it's funny.
If you're the type who laughs, you're not going to hold it in and only keep it for company.

Not only do I laugh out loud but I have a habit of giving a little half snort at times (usually when I'm reading WP in the early hours), which I will disguise with a few loud sniffs afterwards so it appears as though I'm clearing my nose, in case other people in the house may be listening.
