They have a genius head coach. They also have a hard working quarterback that is more interested in winning than maximizing how much money he gets. By taking less money they can hire better team mates. A Business Insider article suggests he could have gotten 60 to 100 million dollars more over his career.

I'll probably get ripped for this one, but the Patriots win because they cheat.

They've got a brilliant coach and an amazing defense. The Rams were one of the best offensive teams this season, and they could only get 3 points.

(Regardless, that was the worst Superbowl Ive ever watched)

TEAM: The New England Patriots

SEVERITY: 3/5

SUMMARY: Performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) are used by players to illegally improve athletic performance above what legal training and preparation can do.

Players who illegally improve their performance unfairly penalize players who follow the rules. They not only put those players at risk for physical injury, but they also affect their economic livelihood by impacting their perceived value and their ability to secure appropriately-valued playing contracts.

SEVERITY = 0.5 video cameras per punished incident. Includes all documented infractions from 1960 to present with this Wikipedia page as the primary source.

S Rodney Harrison (2007)
LB Brandon Spikes (2010)
DE Jermaine Cunningham (2012)
RB Brandon Boldin (2012)
DE Rob Ninkovich (2016)
WR Julian Edelman (2018)
VICTIM: The entire league

PUNISHED? Yes

PUNISHMENT: Each player was suspended for four games for violating the league's PEDs policy.

PATRIOTS-ONLY: PEDSgate (6x since 2007) • Spygate (2007) • IRgate (1986) • Snowplowgate (1982) • IRgate (2013) • Leapergate (1961) • Walkthroughgate (2002) • Deflategate (2015) • Formationgate (2015) • Tuckgate (2001) • Tampergate (2015: Revis) • Headsetgate (2015)

LEAGUEWIDE: Tampergate (ongoing) • Headsetgate (ongoing) • Spygate (until 2006) • Scrapsgate (ongoing)

Yeah, that's pretty accurate!

That's strange, it's working on my end.

Here's an article about it from CNN

(I hope this works!)

Because they have the smartest scouts and the best coach.

Evidence, please?

They win because...

... They practice, practice, practice.

... Their coaching staff is the best.

... Their players are the best.

Evidence? They win so much.

I'm not a big Patriot fan.....but I'd have to agree with Fnord this time.

Goddamn Jets suck every year! It gets frustrating!

They get good players that buy into the idea that if you listen to your coaches and practice hard, you can play better as a team.

If you want to win championships the regular season is just practice. All the good teams get in these days.
Learn, practice hard, and you may get good enough to play when it counts and win in postseason.
