The only other stamp I recall is the 1/2 cent 1938 Benjamin Franklin. Part of the Prexie series, which had all the Presidents of the USA.

Not strange, but famous: the first two US postage stamps, from 1847. (Equivalent of the "penny black" in the UK I think. We had a bigger country, so things cost more. :-)

Haha, the good old Kiwi stamp. I think I used to have a couple of these.

The first two stamps of the USA are surprisingly rare, while the Penny Black is readily available to collectors.

I read the story about a lady who used to buy all the cheap examples of the 5 cent Benjamin Franklin stamp in NYC, apparently taking them off the market forever.

Here's an odd collection of British stamps, featuring a time when the U.K.was proud to be part of the european community (forerunner to the European union), and a tech stamp featuring prestel, a sort of 70s internet, which even had online banking in 1983!

Wow, you had stamps for our Bicentennial. Very magnanimous!

Benjamin Franklin, our first Postmaster, would be delighted and amused indeed!
