My connection is 10240/1024, the upstream is only running at half its speed right now so it seems.

The figures don't make any sense to me. I'm on dial up internet. It is slow but even so.

virgin media? chance immediadly if u are downloading movies,service provider is known to keep "pirate list" and can cut connection if any piracy detected

Its normally more faster when all the computers in my house are switched off.... but its a good resonable speed.
