I would find it very interesting to work in underwater recovery/Treasure hunting. I'm 31, and scared of getting into it too late. My brain and heart want it, but my body says no. What do you say?

I don't know anything about the job but, at age 31, I would think you are young enough to try anything.
Do you know about boats or scuba diving? I would think those would be important topics to understand.
How is your body stopping you?

If you have a problem with your body that you think might stop you, there could still be other ways you could do it. If you can’t scuba dive, you could probably use a submarine or help in other ways, like going through the treasure that is found and sorting it.

Research the correct method to get that job

Sounds kind of random to me, but I am just a stranger on the internet, so whatever

Cost benefit analysis

Since around age 21, I could not find the motivation to do jack s**t, significantly

Lazy

Executive processing dysfunction

Apathy

Feel like failure is likely

And even success is not worth the time money and energy, it took to get there

I am not sure there is much treasure to be found. But if you live along the coast of California, it is fairly easy to learn scuba diving. I did it when I was young. A couple weeks training in a swimming pool and then some excursions out into the ocean. I still have my Scuba Diver Certification Card issued by NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors). It was a 30 hour course.

I would think that scuba diving is a necessary skill for that career field. So follow your dreams. They will define you in the end.
