When I was little, I bit my family on their hands because I was playing. Sometimes I bite my own hand, but it’s rare for me to do that.

I think I bit my brother once when I was really young while we were getting ready for school. Then my mother bit me on the arm to show me what it felt like. I think that was the common form of discipline back when people's mouths were clean and germs didn't exist.

What am I saying? Of course germs existed when I was a kid. But they were gigantic, not the teeny little things they are now, and just one of these hideous blobs could chase down and swallow a person whole! The only way to get rid of them was to spray them with orange juice. The vitamin C in it would kill them.

I bite my boyfriend sometimes, not enough to draw blood or hurt him. I just bite him on the shoulder, as a form of affection.

I used to bite people a lot in elementary school...probably part of the reason why I got transferred to a "special school".

I do that a lot, too...I have callouses, but not to that extent.

I bit my mom really hard once, when I was really young. I'm not sure why.

Besides that, I (play)bite my boyfriend when he tries to tickle or tease me.

I went through a biting phase when I was about 2 years old.
I've been told they tried to scold me, which didn't dissuade me. It only ended when someone bit me back! Germs or not, it's an effective way to discipline kids.
