I have not seen such heavy rain for a while. I was able to capture it in one of the pictures. Last time we went there in the rain, there is an old stone church near there we went in. It was open. It was lovely! It is just in the trees to the right of the sea wall.
The coastal area behind the view of the photos stood a village which was washed away by the tsunami of 1607 and also other storms. Remains of a few buildings can be found which have substantial dressed blue colour stones.
The view you like.. If you look in the distance there is a place called Llanstephan which is the opposite side of the estuary, and if I had zoomed in and panned right a bit there is a castle on the hill to explore. The area is where three estuaries meet, and each estuary has a castle.
