Do you get into swimming pools gradually?

I have to get in the swimming pool really slowly. The water is so cold when I first get in.

I hate pools but I do have to get in gradually too. Heated, salt-water pools are fun even though I basically hate them all. :)

Me too, I have major sensory issues with both the temperature difference and the transition from dry to wet. Forcing me to jump right in equals instant meltdown because it's just too much for me to handle.

I do NOT go into swimming pools gradually but I haven't been swimming in a very long time.
