The internet is slow, so I have to stop using it for awhile. Downloading music makes it even slower, but I have to download it. So I won't be online for awhile, sorry guys. :x

It's broadband. And I don't know how to check the speed.

Slowing down of the internet is no reason to not come online Berserker. It will be slow regardless if you're on or not :)

I would suggest though, that you download ADAWARE (www.adaware.com) to have it remove any malware in your computer. They're like viruses but dont damage your computer..they tend to create pop ups, use your internet connection to steal your speed and other unpleasant spam-related stuff.

Was the internet a lot faster before? is the computer itself slow [if so,has it always been that way?]
Dantacs' post sounds like it might be likely, broadband should not be so crippling that cannot even get onto a forum.

Download AVG free as well,if don't have it already [what some scanners pick up,others don't] and do an online scan with http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

The internet has never been slow. That's because I live in a town.

Do you hear any purrs or meows emanating from the computer?
