Rival forum? We have about 80 members (most of which are also on here). WP has thousands.

It was set up to rival WP, because a certain group of members were fed up with it. Of course, some WP members frequent both forums. What is its exact purpose now, though?

It wasn't set up to rival WP. It was set up to give people who wanted more than WP somewhere to post.
It's purpose now is exactly the same.

Another admin didn't know how to do it properly and made all the forums only visible to members and it hasn't been changed since. When Starbuline started this thread, they were visible to anyone.

It doesn't duplicate WP, there is less censorship on there. I can go on there and not have to worry about some up-their-own-arse mod telling me to stop being naughty or whatever. As to whether it's any good, that's all about opinion. You might not like it, but plenty of people have said they do.
