Went to renew my driver license and ran in to one of those quirks of government bureaucracy;

Last week's letter from the housing assistance agency saying they are coming next week to inspect the address where I live did not count as proof of the address where I live this week.

But ...

The voter ID card I got 3 months ago Does count as proof of address where I live this week.

Odd.

Very odd.

Each government bureaucrat seems to make up his/her own rules as they see fit.

Did any of them suggest that <*ahem*> paying "a nominal service fee" in cash might make your efforts easier?
