https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia

I often see faces in things. This can be in clouds, but also every other object sometimes contains faces. They seem to call this pareidolia. Some days ago i was viewing a rainradar on the internet, and suddenly i saw a face in Danemark :)

Yesterday there was somebody on my toilet :) .

I see faces sometimes, like in the damask pattern on my shower curtain, and in the wood on my ceiling beams.

It took me a moment to find it in Denmark but yes, it's there!

I find it funny when somebody finds Jesus's face in something & then sells it online for crazy money.

I think of the Wem ghost photograph. There was clearly a little girl glaring at the camera from among the flames. Now, that didn't mean it was a ghost, but some "experts" tried to claim it was pareidolia. The most simple answer is that it was fake (which it later proved to be). Yet, those who wanted to believe in ghosts saw a ghost. Those who didn't want to believe in ghosts saw pareidolia somehow among the flames.

I see faces in objects/patterns all the time. I actually like looking at things and actively trying to discern what "faces" I can make out of it.

I see faces in things too, at our old house there was some floral wallpaper and I saw faces in it.
I can see faces in my shower screen and also in one of my curtains.

yes, ja het interessantere was na de eerste link,
Pareidolia was at one time considered a symptom of psychosis, but it is now seen as a normal human tendency. It is not confined to humans. Scientists have for years taught computers to use visual clues to "see" faces and other images.
(uiteraard is gezichten het saaiste om te zien  )(sterren/constellaties zijn gelukkig geen gezichten)
(tijdgeest; narcissism, selfadoration, antropocentric)

In his notebooks, Leonardo da Vinci wrote of pareidolia as a device for painters, writing:
If you look at any walls spotted with various stains or with a mixture of different kinds of stones, if you are about to invent some scene you will be able to see in it a resemblance to various different landscapes adorned with mountains, rivers, rocks, trees, plains, wide valleys, and various groups of hills. You will also be able to see divers combats and figures in quick movement, and strange expressions of faces, and outlandish costumes, and an infinite number of things which you can then reduce into separate and well conceived forms.

Illusory pattern perception
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apophenia
where i was wondering ??? schizophenia without hallucinations is what, is it autism, or is autism moving away towards feelings, the recommanded nt-feelings

Apophenia (/æpoʊˈfiːniə/) is the tendency to perceive meaningful connections between unrelated things. The term (German: Apophänie) was coined by psychiatrist Klaus Conrad in his 1958 publication on the beginning stages of schizophrenia. He defined it as "unmotivated seeing of connections [accompanied by] a specific feeling of abnormal meaningfulness". He described the early stages of delusional thought as self-referential, over-interpretations of actual sensory perceptions, as opposed to hallucinations.

Apophenia has come to imply a human propensity to seek patterns in random information, such as gambling.

aah i see my connection back to the box of Ken Kasey's & the cia mindcontrol programs :jester: :jester: :jester: :jester: 8O

Bedankt voor de informatie Traven.

I have once been psychotic, i don't think i see the faces in things that i see regularly in a psychotic consciousness. I can see that they are actually not real faces. Do dolls have faces, or can you say that dolls' faces are made of plastic? Years ago at an exhibition of robots i went to talk to the robots that looked a bit like humans.

The mystery guest in the image also appears in the movie. You first have to watch 40 seconds to the 4 little dots in the middle of the image, and then you have to turn towards an evenly colored wall. Dont be afraid, its just a illusion :)

its mostly hip-structure( x-rays or stylistic representation) to me
but i obviously don't seek human, or even more so, faces in things, i suppose medically that's dissocation disorder
:jester: :jester:

then, in some theory the grail symbole is also representative of the hip-region, or in imaging ace of cups

seeing human form or face can easily lead to "visionary delusional thinking"
& choosenness and righteousness in grandiose, if there's no foot in rationalisation
imho 8)
