Strange. Did you have a way to choose where you were born and which parents you were born to and which sort of life and upbringing you were to lead?

Can't you see the other side to their lives? How they will never be able to enjoy the freedoms that you and I have?

I agree with you but I think I would prefer that system over the American system of electing presidents. Voting is a shame to pretend that the average poor people have a form of choice & are cared about by politicians. Politicans are too busy focusing on winning elections to do anything productive for the country.

It was my 5th or 6th time seeing him live, and it was obvious he was hurting. The whole show was more emotional than usual. He had tears in his eyes with a quivering chin for nearly every song, even though he kept perfect pitch and didn't miss a note.

There was a huge Union Jack on stage and Davey Johnstone played this Les Paul, which seemed fitting somehow.



Funny enough I also saw Elton the day his mother-in-law died in 2019 and he was emotional then too.

This was much more palpable, especially being his final show ever here.

My mom's best friend seems to be really into the Royal Family. I hate to admit it, but the Facebook post she put up of the Queen leaving with Paddington Bear was pretty nice.

Hate to put a Negative slant here on the USA , but have searched and search ,but actually found NO physical memorial gathering
In my city Anywhere ! This does leave me with a sense of disgust about My City , I live in . People here do not seem to have any sense of where they originated from as a Country . … but I probably was wrong to expect it .

We're having a "bank holiday" in Canada today to honor the Queen's funeral, but Walmart is still open so I'm going there for groceries soon. I just hope the store isn't too busy or have too many kids.

I've been watching the funeral today on the TV, it's made me feel very emotional. It's also brought back my mum's passing, which was nearly a year ago. So I'm feeling very emotional right now.

I also watched her funeral. I cried.

I watched The Queen's Funeral on Monday night, the British know how to do a parade.
it was sad to there will never be another Monarch like her.

The Queen lived a full life and commands great respect for it but for me her death is not nearly as sad as Diana's death was and still is. I still wonder how the monarchy, the UK and maybe the world be different had she survived. I would hazard a guess that she was the most popular Royal and Elizabeth second in America.

Until Diana, I thought of the Royal family as this stuffy outdated curiosity. Then came this Princess that was publicly into the same pop and rock groups that I was. During a homophobic era, she hugged Aids patients. Her mistakes were all so public and that made her relatable. For women as I have been told she was a style icon.

I don't mean the above takeaway from Elizabeth's passing. But for me, her death triggered memories of Diana's and that is my main emotional reaction to Elizabeth's death, unfair to Elizabeth and the moment as it is.
