Question: If we've just come to the end of the "Elizabethan era" what is the era called under Charles?
Carolean. Or pedantically, the Third Carolean Era.

Interesting. Do you know the word derivation for that? Elizabethan is pretty obvious, not so Carolean.
Early 17th century: from medieval Latin Carolus "Charles".

Does he though, compared to (say) government officials? (Liz Truss, I'm scowling at you)

Yes, Truss just met Biden in Britain but she cancelled him and flew off to the USA to meet him there! WTF.

Why can't all of them have their meetings via Zoom or something?

Exactly - this shipping bodies all over the place is so unnecessary.

There's also this pointless little jaunt: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... -australia

I hope King Charles doesn't start with his "alternative medicine" nonsense again.

Also this, from Twitter, with the comment: This parade of former PMs in chronological order from Major to Johnson looks like a tableau called The Descent Of Man.

Yes indeed - more idiotic woo-woo medicine we could do without.

In that case Thatcher would be at the front (if she was still around)

Those interests and causes aren't something he'll just switch off - he's heavily involved and cares too much for that.

Prime minister's and presidents have to travel as part of their job. Charles less so much. A lot of his jaunts are in the UK with a large entourage. It would be nice if he just took the train from time to time.

Oh no, I hope he does! Lots of alternative medicine is pretty helpful. I've been surprised how helpful because I'm pretty cynical!

And they also have social prescriptions now for people suffering depression or whatever i.e. social activities.

If he starts putting his "alternative medicine" in the NHS as a cost cutting measure, it could create two classes. One class who receives actual medicine (the king would be included in this class) and one class that primarily recieves woo-woo fake medicine.
