A woman in Georgia back in 2004 tried to buy $1,672 worth of merchandise at Walmart with a million dollar bill. She even asked for change. Did she really think the store had that much change?

The US treasury has never made million dollar bills. All million dollar bills are fake money.

The cops found three of the ...one million dollar bills...on her person.

She claimed she "got them from her husband".

Why wouldnt a trailer trash guy, married to a gal like that, have legally earned "million dollar bills" on him?

Sounds believable to me. :D

Her husband might have printed the bills & she was ret@rded enough to believe the bills were legit or stupid & bad enough to attempt using them knowing they were fake. Either way their home shoulda been searched in case any illegal machines were used to print them & her husband investigated as well.

It is not illegal to make million dollar bills. They get made all the time as play currency and like with Monopoly money don't have any claim to being legal tender. The woman thought the bills were real currency and tried to use one. The woman appears to have been mentally ill.

From NBC news

Quote:
ATLANTA (AP) — A woman who tried to use a fake $1 million bill to buy $1,675 worth of merchandise at Wal-Mart said it was all just a misunderstanding — she thought the bill was real.

The United States Treasury does not make $1 million bills.

"You can't keep up with the U.S. Treasury," said Alice Pike, speaking from jail.

Pike, 35, was arrested last week at the Wal-Mart. The bill was a novelty item that can be bought at gag shops. Pike told police she got it from her estranged husband, who is a coin collector.

Pike said she first tried to buy the merchandise with two Wal-Mart gift cards. But the cashier told her the cards only had a total value of $2.32. That's when Pike says she pulled out the $1 million bill.

"All I've got is this," Pike said she told the cashier.

"I wasn't trying to pass off the bill," she said. "That's ridiculous."

A police report says Pike tried to pay for the items with the fake bill and even asked for change.

Prosecutors must decide whether to prosecute Pike on charges of first-degree forgery.

I was going to ask if it had Donald Trump on. I'm under the impression that some Trumpers don't realize that isn't real. *facepalm*

No, it was back in 2004. Trump hadn't been president yet.

I was gonna ask "whose pic is on it? Justin Bieber?" but the article says, and shows, that there is crude pic of the Statue of Liberty where you expect to a presidential face.

The sad thing is that million dollar bills could be a thing in 1000 years if inflation keeps going at the rate that it is.
