So I unexpectedly found a boiled egg in the fridge in the back of a shelf (I usually boil a bunch at a time and keep them in a small bowl, still in the shell). I have no idea how old it is. I ate eggs from a different bowl this week. :? It doesn't smell.

Peel it and check it out? Eat? How bad could it be?

This boiled egg sinks.

Based on what I found on the Internet whether the egg sinks or floats is completely inconclusive anyway.

I ate the egg. Didn't taste too unusual.

I'll post if I unexpectedly throw up in half an hour. :eew:

If I don't post tomorrow then I'm down with food poisoning LoL

My best guess is that it's 3 weeks old since boiled, but I'm not sure.

Karl Marx would have told him to 'go for it, and eat them.'

I wouldn't eat it. Well, he's already eaten it any way... Fully cooked food tends to last in the fridge for a surprisingly long time as long as it's not touched/contaminated by water/finger germs etc. I honestly think it should be okay if it looks and smells normal. Still, I definitely wouldn't eat it if I don't know how old it is.

Roll it down the hill?
Post it to someone?
Put it on a little paraschute and drop it from a height?
Wrap it up as a Christmas present and "Accidently" leave it on your car?
Float it down the rivef on a cardboard boat?
Go up to a stranger, give it to them and say "This is for you"?
Put it in someones shoe when they are not looking?
The list goes on!

So now I am envisioning an actual egg gun, like a potato gun, with a rotating magazine with room for at least a half a dozen eggs - an egg six shooter. So all the eggs are boiled but one is raw. Or perhaps all the eggs are "blanks" you punch a little pin hole in the shell at each end and blow out the raw egg (this is very hard, I have done this, but it works. You have to pierce the yoke in order for it to work, and blow very hard) except for one raw egg.

I need to give this some more thought.

There may be other problems, I haven't thought about, eggistant.

Someone may already have patented, if not I had better scramble to be first.

(I had better quit, this yoke is getting to be ostrich!)
