I think you’ll find most people reluctant to post pics of the interiors of their homes for a few reasons:

1. Security. No need to show the world what possessions you have. Target for thieves.

2. Some people might be very untidy and don’t want to put that on display.

3. Others may not want to be seen as show offs bragging about their homes if they’re fortunate enough to live in a nice place.

4. Others may not be proud of their living situation and don’t want to put it on display to have to explain or be embarrassed by.

Etc etc

You probably mean well and are just curious to see what peoples homes look like around the world.. but people will be reluctant to show off their homes and possessions for a variety of reasons.

For myself, I don’t own the house. It’s my mothers. I could never afford it - like most people my age and younger. I wouldn’t want to put the interior of her home on display on a public forum. Sure, we might share a few pics during Christmas or some family gathering - but usually they’re on Facebook and only friends & family see them vs public.

Just saying.

Oh wow! That's amazing!
I don't even know where you are, I'm ashamed to say, but I'd love an old farmhouse with stable doors!!
I can imagine it's a massive kitchen!!

Isabella, thanks for sharing the photos of your home, I really appreciate it. It looks interesting, wooden made, and looks very peaceful and quiet place to live at. I appreciate you agreeing to share it, thanks.

Isabella, do you live in a quiet neighbourhood? Without much noise?

About mine, I have some old ones I might upload here later, but I might better take new photos which would look better and post later. For now, I'll share one from the bedroom and share a few more later.

If you cant see, let me know, I'm not very good at sharing images... I havent done this much outside Facebook.

Wow, those are some big houses. 8O

Growing up I lived in a standard council house (please note this is NOT my house, just a house that is similar):

And our apartment looks something like this (NOT our apartment, just an example):-

I don't think I'd feel comfortable posting my real homes here, as the addresses could easily be tracked down.

I can't open your picture unfortunately, Noam.
I've had a lot of photos not open for me lately though.
I don't know why.

My neighbourhood is very quiet.
Most people are at work all day.

MR's area is quiet too.
He lives in the bunky or carriage house of his brother's bigger house.
It was meant to be a temporary stay when he moved here.
Now his brother is selling both places so we aren't sure what he's going to do.
MR could buy both but that would be too big for him, and a waste.

Sorry for the stupid question, whats an MR?

How do i upload images without using an external site link?

Living in a quiet place is important. Do you know how much silence can help with anxiety issues?

MR stands for My Ross (lol)
It's kind of a joke because I used to say MD for My Daughter and MS for My Son.
I could have named him MB for My Boyfriend but MB was already My Brother.

Now I should just call him Ross I guess.

I don't have silence in my house, even though the neighbourhood is quiet.
I have my son, my DIL, and my daughter here most of the time.
They all work from home, meaning they seldom leave.
Then add four pets.

My son has a music studio with guitars and drums.
DIL teaches piano from my basement, and does online PhD meetings.
We're pretty respectful about noise but it's seldom silent.

OK goodnight all! Sleepytime!

Everything in the new world is bigger. :p

The house I grew up in was about 2500sf on a 9000sf lot and had a detached shop/garage in the back. The house I live in now is 3200sf on probably about 3000sf lot or so.

All of the detached houses in this area are approx 2700-3400sf. Neighbourhoods with a bunch of multi-generational family homes (and/or with basement suites) will easily be 5000-8000sf or so. In my area, it’s farmhouses that are mansions.. so many of them are 10,000-20,000sf and quite stunning. Some are kinda ugly, but most are rather impressive. If I haven’t travelled certain roads in a while and then drive/ride it and there’s a new farmhouse mansion or three to see it’s like “Holy crap, look at that place!” With some of them looking like they’re straight out of Scarface or something.

Of course there are townhouses (like row homes, but wood frame) and condos/apartments of all sizes with ever smaller units being built now.. but in general I think homes are larger here than in most parts of the world.

In America (and Canada, although it's all American to me) most homes are generally big, and look like millionaire houses to us in the UK. Even big, expensive rich people houses here are half the size of some American homes.

Please remember that images of your homes can help with personal identification, and should probably be treated with the same caution as any other information that could identify you in real life.
Also be wary of showing your possessions.

Consider posting "lookalikes" instead - as some have already done.

Using an external source for images is the only way of doing it.
Most sites (eg. https://imgur.com/ ) will provide a ready-formatted link to an image that can be copy/pasted into posts here.
