Can't drink atm. Although it's almost the weekend so I might just pull myself together for that.

I'm drinking in the AM again just like every morning.. black coffee and water. :D Nice day today - and last day of Summer - might do a few things (water plants etc) and then gear up and ride to the beach. Time is so much better wasted there than at home. 8)

Had a few cans at the beach last night. Walked across campus for Chinese food before I rode home. Hadn't been to that little food court since before covid started. Was decent - prices are up, but whatever it still was a decent deal compared to other restaurant prices.

Having a couple pints worth of black coffee. Then I have to go see about renewing my drivers licence before I go to the beach.

Is 1 pint an hour a good pace?

For what?

Winning a chugging contest? No; that’s terrible. You’ll lose.

For limiting your drinking to 1 pint per hour? It’s the perfect pace.

For limiting yourself to 1 pint in a 2 hour pub trip? No. It’s way too fast by a factor of 2!

“Good,” depends on your criteria for what “good,” is.

Well I usually go for a fair few hours at the pub on Saturdays

Maybe I need to make my pints last more than an hour if I go out for a long time? Last Saturday for example I went out from 5 until 2 in the morning.

Saw the doctor today and my liver function test has improved slightly. :) Downside is they say I might have type II diabetes. :(

So basically I need to lose weight and drink less. (I didn't think 5'11" and 14 stone was too bad but obviously not good enough).

Lots of sugar in ciders.

If you keep drinking, make the switch to some sort of vodka soda.

Even better would be to quit/minimize drinking.

Can't stomach spirits even in mixers. I think I just need to cut down basically. Maybe to 4 cans a day, then 4 cans every other day etc.

14 stone at 5ft11 is at least 1 stone overweight. Is the weight mostly muscle though?

Had an ounce or so whiskey last night - was one I poured and didn't drink a couple days ago. Probably didn't Neeed it tbh. Just coffee so far today, maybe no drinking.. but maybe lol - it was supposed to rain but it's nice and then gonna rain for like a week sooo might gather up the dry leaves and then go for a ride somewhere, and depending on whether solo or with someone might stop somewhere for a beer if I do go out. Or maybe no alcohol depending on who's out riding if that's what I do with the weather - just seems a shame to stay indoors if the rain is gonna hold off today.

Just finished a bottle of 'Nice Drop Tempranillo' from ASDA, a Spanish red wine. At just over £4 it's one of the few remaining supermarket wines at this sort of price. As such, it's pretty decent stuff.
