I looked on social media today and I found this post from some people who I sort of know although more acquaintances then friends

“On our last day in Budapest an irresponsible drunk driver smashed into a taxi that my friends were in resulting in one of them having nasty scratches, another needing surgery on both her hands and another who is currently in intensive care fighting for his life and we are still not sure if he is going to make it. He has had two eye surgeries already as his injuries have been severe.
Driving under the influence is never worth it and can cause people to lose their lives. People often think that driving under the influence is harmless but it isn't. You hear about these stories, and now it has happened to people who are very close to me.”

What’s your opinion on the situation my male friend is in? I have not been able to contact because there in a foreign country.

Well if someone is fighting for their lives in ICU then that's not a good sign but they are in the right place at least getting the right care so we just need to keep positive Jamesy

Well it's hard to imagine because if they didn't have seat belts on he could have gone through the windscreen

Are seat belts compulsory in Budapest

Some drunk runs into the side of your cab a high speed. Use your imagination...whiplash, fractures, maybe paralysis,. ...are you kidding? What would NOT be a possibility? Neck and spinal fractures would be the scariest things (speaking off the top of my non expert head).
