Ana is short for Anastassia Florine, an alias I use online. The 54 I don't even remember; I think it was someone's birth year. :)

I used to teach wilderness survival at HSU through their Center Activities department which is the non-credit, 'fun' courses.

From Billy Connolly, in a comedy routine he did where he said 'I AM THE CHOSEN ONE!' Also thought it sounded good for a pagan.

I just picked mine because it has a double meaning and it's eye catching.

I like dogs, so...Deefor dog. :D

The 4 is there because when I joined another forum there was already a Deefor, so the server stuck a number on mine, and I thought, given my memory (or lack of) for usernames and passwords, I'd better keep things consistent.

I'm really into yoga, and feel like I'm a doormat because everybody walks all over me. It's good in that I love my yoga mat and bad because of the being-walked-on part, so like most things it has two meanings.

From an old Greek legend, coupled with the fact that I've reached my peak in life, and have nowhere left to go but down.

Reproduced from an older post about "What your user name means":

I had wings that I fashioned from feathers and wax. I was advised not to do so, but I thought I knew better, as is my wont; I flew too high, too quickly, and I touched the sun; then the wax in my wings melted. I am now plummeting back to earth; when I land, I will die. I can see it coming, but there is nothing I can do. But, 'tis a small matter; there's really nothing I want to do about it anway; I will simply close my eyes, wait for an abrupt stop, enjoy the feel of the air rushing past me in the mean time, and smile for reasons only I will ever understand.

Good fortune,

- Icarus Falling

Mine is pretty self-explanatory (though I should clarify that I am not an NT-type shopaholic, spending hours & hours in clothes shops!).

When I shop I usually know in advance exactly what I want & then make straight for it. In fact my shopping does not usually take very long but I can spend an awful lot at one time.

I buy things related to my interests, i.e. manga, Dr Who novels, Girls Gone By school stories & maths & science textbooks.

Oh, and the dreaded M&S jumpers (I would never have started collecting them if I'd known they would bring out so many colours - it will be up to 90 soon in the same style! Plus I have missed out on "dark orange" because they sold out!)

My name, read backwards, spells Log Lady Fan. Log Lady is a funny character from the series Twin Peaks by David Lynch. She has the peculiar habit of carrying a log around everywhere she goes. She claims that she communicates with it telepathically. :)

Fans of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band will understand why, as a Naval Air Mechanic , (who was allways "coming to the rescue" by fixing thier motorbikes,) my friends gave me the nickname NAMBO back in the 70s
