I liked the time spent with my family. Now my family doesn't celebrate Christmas, but I used to really like it. It is getting way to commercialized though today. In Japan it is just called something like "gift day" or the equivalent thereof.

Mmmmmm, hot mince pies with home-made brandy butter - yum! :D

I like the smell of the Christmas tree and the feeling of anticipation in the house late at night on Christmas Eve when everyone else is in bed.

The food is good and I like the cheap electronics in the sales just after Christmas. The only thing is that I'm not a Christian so I don't celebrate like crazy on the 25th like most folk. December 31st is however PARTY TIME and we normally head off to a square in the center of Gyor where the whole city celebrates New Years Eve.

I enjoy the lighted homes and drinking hot cocoa ( the cocoa is a cool weather thing in general, not necessarily just Christmas). I like the food. I enjoy watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on TV.
I don't like all the crowds at the mall/Walmart.

I love the smell of mangoes and bushfires and my Christmas tree. I love the lead up to it - seeing the tinsel in the shops and the lights on the houses and my work (supermarket) getting very busy and exciting.

The season! The lights. The music. The decorations. The fancy shop windows. The snow. My lovely collection of Victorian Santa's (everywhere!). My gorgeous tree (this year! thank God for Freecycle!). Buying lovely thoughtful gifts. White Hot Chocolate and Christmas-y scented oils in the oil burner! Watching people's faces light up. The food. The treats. The cards. The Christmas Classics. Santa in the malls.

The list is endless really...I am sad that it is almost over, I wish it were here all year!
