i was looking at the facial expression on a lobster yesterday, and i could not determine what it was thinking. if i can not understand the facial expressions of lobsters, then how will i understand the facial expressions of any being more complicated than a lobster.

the lobster looked the same way no matter what i did to try to entertain it, and i tried to tell it sad stories and i tried to tell it jokes and i even danced and sang a song in front of it but it's facial expression never changed as far as my mind could see.

if i can not connect with even a lobster, then how can i hope to ever connect with a human who is vastly more complicated than a lobster.

well i do not care and i gave up and i am happy to be my own example of life that i can look in mirrors to understand.

i am so glad i am in this world. if i was not, then i would not have anyone to identify with. if i was not here, then i would be forever trying to identify with creatures that i do not have anything much in common with.
