Well, it's official: showing up is no longer required.

Do the maintenance guys show up to finish the weather stripping on the front door? Of course not!

Does the UPS delivery guy show up, even though he left a note on my door saying that he would be here today between 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM? Of course not!

So if anyone reading this has a job or some kind of appointment, don't worry about showing up. Just blow it off, without giving any kind of notice at all, because not showing the f**k up is apparently now considered completely acceptable.
