They look alright I think with a bit of garlic butter

I could never eat a snail. I think snails are cute, especially green ones.

I should hope not. I've seen little parasites on some of 'em.

So it's the shells you like? I mean a snail is just a slug with a shell (and before anybody corrects me, I know slugs have a little shell-like thing like a saddle, but I don't see it as being in the same class as a proper shell)

Some unidentified person knocked loudly on the door at 20 to 9 this morning, and when I didn't answer they unlocked the door and tried to get in. They failed because I've cunningly made a kind of chain-lock thingy out of a hex wrench to stop them bursting in on me.

They've got a cheek. An Englishman's home is his castle. Must have been the landlord or their cronies. If they want anything legitimate, why not send a message first like they do when the rent's 10 seconds behind? Can't be to fix the electricity or the water because both of those are working fine. And they've already sprayed the place with insecticide and done their annual inspection.

It's probably ruined my blood pressure because it was only just below the target yesterday. I'm not going to bother taking it today now because I don't want another bad result on my chart. When I'm president I'm going to make landlords toe the line properly. I'll be like a left-wing Trump.
