Fair enough, I always thought it was compulsory until 18 there, does it vary by state or is it nationwide?

Thanks. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I remember being younger, and trying to find online if anyone else had that problem, and all I came up with terrorists.
I came to the conclusion that I wasn't a terrorist, and gave up the search.

Nationwide, you can't drop out until 16.
