Yes. My first and last was few months ago, it was a staff's RnR. It was one of those caves near the sea, and has climbable entrances/exits. It was dark and chilly in there.

Same question.

Camera shy: I would say about a 5. I'm not necessarily camera shy, but I don't like most pictures of myself. I look too stiff and posed and I always seem to have a funny look on my face.

Living in a cave would not be a good thing for me. I'm a bit claustrophobic.

Same q. re. living in a cave

I've been to Marianna Caverns here in Florida, and Ruby Falls in Tennessee.

Same q

What is something risky that you have done?

I ran away from home while fully experiencing psychosis, walked 15 miles across the Alabama state line, and broke into a hunting shack in the woods to find a place to sleep and the two guys who owned the shack came home, found me, and threatened to shoot me. But they called the cops instead and found out I was reported missing and I was taken to the crisis center.

To think I could have been shot... :pale:

Trudging on a category 5 storm without any extra layer of clothing, on water flood over 3ft, with running/floating and flying debris, and strong flood currents and wind to walk pass through against.
Went on few blocks away. Took me about more than 20 mins (it was 3 min walk away). Made it unscathed, not even a scratch. I would've been injured or sick days after.

Why did I? Cause I was from the evacuation area that happened to be near home, before the storm gone bad to worse. And then decided that I don't wanna stay there, so I walked out and would rather stay home for the rest of the storm instead.

Same question.

I walked many miles across the city of Budapest alone, in the middle of the night, while drunk out of my mind. I somehow made it back to my hostel.

What is the fastest you've driven or travelled on land?

Jet aircraft often take off at around 200 MPH. For the record, the sound of a jet aircraft beginning acceleration after taxiing is by far my favourite sound.

What's your favourite part of Paris?

I was going to say the same thing. I'd love to attend a service there this year. I also like bits of the Latin Quarter.

What's your favourite of Dostoevsky's minor novels?

I remember liking Notes from Underground, but I couldn't tell you a thing about it now.

Do you like Chekhov?

I've never seriously read him.

What do you think the world would be like if the Mensheviks had continued to rule Russia past October 1917?

I have forgotten the difference between Bolsheviks and Mensheviks.

The Mensheviks were liberal democrats who eschewed communism after coming to power peacefully earlier in 1917. Theirs was the true revolution of the people, the October Revolution being one of the elites. Given the Marxism of history pedagogy in the West today, it's not surprising that this isn't taught.

I guess the short answer to the question is that Russia would have achieved similar political preeminence to that which it did in fact achieve, and the Communist Revolution would have taken place in France or Germany, and ended with less bloodshed with the intervention of the British and Americans. People in the latter two countries, their good sense not deceived by the exoticism of the doctrine, would have recognised Marxism for the failure it was, instead of continuing to flirt with it as they do today.

Have you ever been to Avignon?
