Sometimes for being rash & impulsive, though not in all situations.

Do you miss ancient times when there was rotary telephones or other things of that nature?

I do miss the times when cell phones were nonexistent. It annoys me when I see entire families or even couples so disconnected from one another, their eyes glued to cell phone screens instead of each other. I almost expect to see strings of drool pouring out of their zombie mouths.

Same question.

Well my mobile phone is a nokia brick without internet, and I don't carry it round with me unless I have to. Fair enough if I'm out and about when I might need it, but otherwise it's such an intrusive piece of technology. I've never taken it off the 'silent' setting, consequently I miss a lot of calls or take ages to reply to texts. People do get annoyed at me, but if they contact me regularly then I try and explain that I'm not trying to be rude. I love the internet though. It's a great learning tool and I think it makes life with ASD immeasurably easier.

Do you have a favourite work of art?

I'm admiring this piece by Luke Brown right now:

I've always liked surreal art as, like myself it tends to be unorthodox in nature, as here is an example.Image

Have you ever done any public speeches?

I've spoken to the teachers at my school about the way disabled people are often treated.

Same question.

I've done one public speech in front of a gather of close to 50 people.

Ever you ever done anything involuntary which was annoying to someone?

Yes, I remember one time when I was, I think, running a pencil over the spiral binding of my school agenda, and a classmate told me it was annoying and asked me to stop.

What autistic traits do you display?

Several but the primary one is hating being out of my comfort zone and having a few narrow obsessions. Also compulsive behavior, such as compulsive truthtelling.

Also, odd quirks, like liking certain numbers.

Same question.

Thanks! Sorry I didn't get on Skype today.

Meltdowns, social awkwardness, trouble making friends, stimming.

Same question.

Quite a lot!! I have a hard time with eye contact, small-talk and socialisation more generally. I need to have time to process events or I get stressed; if my schedule changes it can be difficult for me. I find other people's emotions confusing and my own either absent or overwhelming. I have some sensory issues, including light and heat sensitivity, and I hate being touched, especially lightly. On the plus side I have good logical skills, a great memory and a very visual way of storing and processing information. I also believe that I can learn to do anything if I apply myself, because when I work I really work.

How do you best like to sit in a chair?
