Yes, I've seen it.

My nephew is adopted, and his biological mother has a long history of addiction to crack and meth. It's ugly. I have no words for how much it destroyed her, and affected his life.

same question

Yes, I've been directly affected by the problems arising from methamphetamine addiction, although I disapprove of the concept of addiction.

What's your favourite quiz show?

I used to like Jeopardy, until it became too heavily weighted with pop culture.

Now, I really don't watch quiz shows at all, although I used to be an avid game show and trivia fan.

Same q.

haven't seen tv for ten years but the weakest link was an interesting concept

(the concept of addiction, in this world where everything is addiction, from tool to thought, the state of mind, or the same old stumbling blocks)

same question (What's your favourite quiz show?)

Jeopardy, though I haven't really watched TV for years either.

Do you have a "comfort food" (or beverage)?

Not really. Perhaps cheeseburgers, though I make mine myself with high quality, local meat, so they can hardly be considered "comfort food".

Have you ever tried menthol cigarettes? Did you prefer them to the regular variety?

I took a drag off one once. For tobacco flavor I prefer cigars or a pipe.

What's the highest elevation you've visited?

I'd guess 30,000 feet or so - in a jet.

Pipes and cigars taste better, but it's impossible to get a good drag.

Do you ever use chopsticks?

Yes. My mother-in-law frequently makes Asian noodles.

Used chopsticks: yes, but it was difficult

No, I don't care for chili peppers, too spicy

Anyone else like the Olympic marathon (or marathons in general)? Who is your favorite runner?

As for me, I've never run a marathon in my life, but my favorites are Ethiopia's Abebe Bikila, Americans Frank Shorter and Joan Benoit and Frenchman Alain Mimoun.

I admire marathon runners, but don't know specific runners. I think kraftiekortie has run one. Way to go, kraftie!

Have you ever watched a birth, human or animal?

Yes. I watched my cat give birth to her kittens once. They came out in sacks.

Same q.

Yes, I have watched kittens being born as well. I also had pet rats and watched the tiny little things being born. Very cool! I have watched human births on YouTube with my wife when she was pregnant, but our son was born by C-section, so I didn't get to see it.
:(
