State any stupid warnings you have seen, anywhere.

e.g.

On a packet of peanuts, it said WARNING: THIS PRODUCT MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF NUTS.

On those packets of silica, it says DO NOT EAT.

On a Superman costume: Wearing this does not enable you to fly.

On a set of Christmas lights: For indoor and outdoor use only.

They only have those signs because there are alot of ret*ds out there, who would think you can fly in a Superman costume, and if nut-allergy people WILL eat PeaNUTS even though there is a clue in the title.

Companies state such obviousness to prevent them from getting sued over f*****g stupid lawsuits.

Peanuts aren't nuts. They're a kind of bean. But most packets of peanuts contain traces of real nuts from the factories where processed and packed.
On the other hand many people are allergic to peanuts specifically, but it isn't the same as a nut allergy.

If we are what we eat, the man who wrote the warning was probably full of 'em.

I think peanut packages should mention that peanuts are not actually nuts.

On a bottle of antidepressant tablets: "Take 1 tablet by mouth every night at bedtime for depression."

On the side effects list for that same antidepressant, it mentions that one of the reported side effects is depression.

Plastic bag: "WARNING: Keep this bag away from babies and children: Do not use in cribs, beds, carriages or playpens.
..................May cling to nose and mouth and prevent breathing."

Though there are good reasons for some warnings on products, the whole issue of liability has gotten WAY out of hand! IMHO.

People are making up all sorts of reasons why you cannot do something or going to extreme lengths to warn about doing things all because of the 'fear' of being sued... not the reality of who's responsibility it is to make good judgements.
