I had a rough childhood, especially in school. My preteen years were the worst. But, I did have a very supportive family, which prevented me from getting any worse.

When I was a kid, I often insulted, annoyed or hurt people when I actually ment it well.

When I was 4 years old, my parents had recently purchased a small tree, and they planted it in the garden. I got an idea, and I soon convinced my younger brother to join me. We went over to the tree, both me and my brother had to cooperate to break it. After we broke the tree, we carried it over to the door and rang the doorbell. When my mother opened the door I said: "Look, mommy! We bought you a flower!" I had no idea why she got angry ...

I used to love watching the Beetlejuice cartoon, and I'd love to act it out with my mom. I was always Beetlejuice while my Mom was always Lydia.

I came to the United States from Germany at age 3. I spoke German almost exclusively until I was six years old.

My best friend at a certain school denied being my friend when asked several times, because she knew I was unpopular.

I was tricked into drinking a super-sugary soda by a former friend back in elementary school and he raised my blood sugar through the roof. My friendship with him ended since then.

LOL. Either you're a diabetic or it had a TON of sugar.

A classmate in grade 3 tried to trick me into stepping in glue and I was too polite to show him that I was onto him, so instead I pretended that I didn't understand where he wanted me to step. :)

I'm not diabetic...yet.

Anyway, I would always talk to myself and play pretend ALL THE TIME! No social life meant a greater imagination back then.

My fourth, fifth and sixth birthday parties were quiet affairs with just me and my parents.

I would eat nothing but junk food, and lots of it many times a day. But I never, not once, gained any weight from it.

I was also a junk food junkie. Lunch was my favorite time of day at school, besides the end of the day!

I'd bring one of those microwavable deep dish cheese pizzas for lunch all the time. Good times, good times.
