As for me, I have many. My biggest ones, though, are probably radio and film.

I collect old time radio shows and I would figure I have somewhere around a thousand. I know that there are several hundred downloaded to my computer.

my obsessions are powerchairs, assistive technology, stock market, neurological diseases and disabilities, sensory integration disorders, radiology, straps!! !

also you can call them special interests sort of...

my sensory integration disorder / autism is calmed/relaxed/comforted by the following i love soft silky straps and restrainy thingies!(see what i mean at http://bodypoint.com) tight warm things and places, deep pressure, sensory deprivation, being mummy wrapped, extremely tight hugs, blood pressure cuffs, lead aprons, soft latex/PVC thingys

because i like all the above... so i guess i can code them as special interest...

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Due to my sensory integration disorder pressure is very calming to me....

i think the reason tight hugs calms us is because of the warm pressure around us...

ive actually heard that in some cases of sensory integration disorder the neurons can visibly be seen on an MRI to resemble neurons of a baby which release chemicals when pressure is applied to the body. those chemicals are probably still present with us

I wonder how many other people on this board are comforted by hugs.

Thanks.

And, btw, I can completely understand why you wouldn't want to be touched. It used to be a horrible experience for me.

Yes, heaps. I like games made by Nintendo and Rare mostly. I'm into any game with violence. And any game that is chilidish. A mixture, you could say. Viva Pinata is one of my favourites.

Never played viva pinata.

I remember the old nintendo games, though.

And I have a selection of classic atari games.

I used to have a collection of Sonic games. I had to get rid of them, though. But they were fun to play.

I like some older games, like Super Mario Bros. and Sonic The Hedgehog 2. I prefer some older games over the newer ones.
