It's not often that you have a realization that something suits you so well that you feel like all is right with the world like what happened to me a moment ago.

I was listening to Pink Floyd's "Learning to Fly" and I couldn't understand some of the words so I looked them up.

See signature...

Is that not the perfect aspie phrase, quote or quip?

I agree. I read your signature just a minute ago for the first time. I didn't recognize that it came from a Pink Floid song and thought you must have written it yourself.

Cool signature.

Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings - I thought I thought of everything
No navigator to find my way home
Unladen, empty, and turned to stone...

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer
My grubby halo, a vapor trail in the empty air
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unfettered by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night

There's no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss
Can't keep my mind from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earthbound misfit, I

I've got to pick up a copy of this album again...

I love that song but it is the only one I really like on that album.

What an awesome song! I'm a major Floyd fan myself.

I remember listening to this song while driving across a really high bridge one time. There was fog over the river, and the bridge was so high, it was over the fog. I felt like I actually was flying as I was driving my van over top this cloud of fog with this song playing...it was a totally amazing feeling!

Anyone else like Another Brick in the Wall? I have the full version and found myself making fun of it. "I don't need no medication. I don't need no thought control."

Funny thing is: just the other day I was going to post the lyrics here. That song meant so much to me as a teen.

Agreed. That last line has always been my personal "life quote".

I just created my own signature. It's something that has been proven by history numerous times.
