I did. I wanted something nice and simple and easy to remember and spell correctly (although that last one has been disproven time and time again). It symbolizes me in that I'm silly, and it was also the old name for my story, which is more a part of me than any of you could understand.

I should have put more thought into it and not have used a name I am so well known by.

I just looked round at my desk and bookshelf for a word and saw kaleidoscope on something and just shortened it. I didn't put much effort into it because I didn't expect to be staying long. I was having one of my times of denial and only came in for a brief look around believing that once I had been in and seen other ASDs then I would know for certain that it was all wrong and I really, really, really was neurotypical after all.

My user name comes from a 5.5mm (,22 caliber) centerfire revolver manufactured in Belgium of quality materials. It was named for velocipede and dog, back when bicycle enthusiasts rode the big front wheel velocipedes feral dog packs were a concern for their safety in the French and Belgium cuontrysides. It had nominal external ballistic specs of : 45 grain bullet @ a velocity of 750 feet per second at the muzzle. The guns were made from about 1890 to 1930. The highest quality were designed and made by a Belgian named Charles Galand. I would like to buy one in good mechanical shape with a good finish sometime. As far as the thought going into my user name? Not much, I just wanted something distinctive that no one else would be likely to have. 8)

Not much, it was only the third name I thought of (the first two were "Duddits" and "Jack B. Quick"), but it's grown on me.

Very little thought. When I was prompted to enter a user name to create an account my first thought was "can I have an easier question please." I have a counting habit and Tally sprang to mind.

I'm not very creative so I used the name of a dungeon crawler video game I used to have.(it's the best thing I could think of.)

I didn't put any thought to my username when I came here. Chibi Neko has been my online alias since 2000, it was my name on my websites and anything else I became a member of.

Chibi Neko came from my love of cats and 'cat' was my nick name in school, plus everyone says I am tiny. I love the Japanese language so I am 'Little Cat' in Japanese.

I didn't put too much thought into mine. It was just a nickname I had when I was a little kid.

not a lot, i misheard a line in a video game ("phew, who ate the bean burrito?") and the correct spelling for the username was taken so i spelled it this way.

Mine actually didn't take very much thought. I wanted to come up with one that was me and Social Phantom was the first thought. I decided to get cute and spell it Fantom. It is the perfect description of how I fit in (or don't) socially and some members of this site have said that it describes them as well. 8)
