If anyone wants to make a RPG you can always download RPG maker. You can create your own sprites and everything.

I've used RPG Maker 95, 2000 and XP to make RPG game demos before. Never could finish a full game though. I've tried VX also, but didn't really like it. XP is still the best RPG Maker program.

Although I'd really like to make some kind of action/adventure game or something of a turn based strategy game like in the SRW series or Final Fantasy Tactics. I got ideas for games, just got to find a good way to make them happen.

I'm keeping an eye on http://www.stencyl.com/about/ It looks like it might be promising...

Actually there's a game called Jump Ultimate Stars for the DS that features just about all Shonen Jump mangas together in a SSB type of game.

I liked 95, but I could never really get into the newer ones. Maybe it's just because they were different...takes me a while to get used to new utilities, and I usually just get frustrated and go back to my old ones.

With some clever scripting, you could accomplish that in RPGMaker, to a certain extent ;)

Something with elements of all 4 in the poll.

I used to use a program called 'The Games Factory' to create simple games many years ago. You could create games as complex as Sonic the Hedgehog without writing a single line of code/script. The program's makers still sell products. Check out http://www.clickteam.com/eng/tgf2.php (The Games Factory 2 - cheap way to create games) or http://www.clickteam.com/eng/mmf2dev.php (More expensive way to easily make games which you can sell)
