Do you have stinky breath?

*I know that some of the girls will be too shy to admit that they have stinky breath. Don't be!*

No, aaaaaaaaaackkkk. I started brushing up on my oral hygiene a couple months ago, after (and I should have listened before) being told numerous times by my mother that my breath "smells like s**t".

Lol. I can go LONG periods of time without brushing or flossing. It's really bad though and I worry about my teeth often.

I once got told by an oral hygienist that I had a little touch of halitosis, so I started using mouthwash. Cleared it right up :)

Some dental hygienists have no sense of politeness, I had one ask me if I ever had a girlfriend, this was when I was 17, I was really taken aback when she told me I had very bad breath, so I blurted out just went my Dentist came in, well so does the my dentist, only his is worse, she turned beet red at that, and shut her big mouth, she must have been snogging the dentist. I think before I started watching what I ate, my breath would be mildly bad in the morning, but now, since I don't drink pop with sugar, and only drink green tea, my breath is neutral, green tea may also help prevent cavities, but it will stain the enamel, so regular cleaning is necessary.

I tried brushing my teeth more times each day and using mouth wash, but that didn't work, so I just chew a lot of gum.

It might not be your mouth, it could be your diet, an ulcer can be the cause of bad breath, also if your diabetic, and its uncontrolled, your breath will be giving off ketone's which can smell fruity or like garbage, you may have a sinus infection, ask your dentist or your doctor, so you can get tested

Most of the bad breath lies on the tongue, try brushing your tongue as well as your teeth. Mouthwash doesn't always work.

Plus, brush regularly. Because if not, your gums will get weaker over time, and they will bleed like hell the next time you do brush.

Sometimes the smell is coming from your sinus cavities, and not your mouth. I had a severe sinus infection, which make a rotten smell come from my nose when I exhaled. I started using a Neti pot on a regular basis, and a tongue scraper, as well as brushing and flossing as usual. If I skip a day, the smell starts to return in stages. It is also aggravated by eating dairy products or wheat/sugar combinations.

Like spudnik says, Green tea helps, too.

No, I use floss, mouthwash, a dental pick and a superdooper modern electric toothbrush.

:D No, and here's how: Brush your teeth and tongue (yes, use the brush on your tongue) with a milder Listerine (orange).

Spit out the Listerine, but don't rinse (that's why you need mild), and then immediately floss ALL of your teeth, no cheating.

After that, brush your teeth and tongue again, this time using toothpaste.

This will fix bad breath, unless you have other problems, such as tonsils filled with gunk (sorry to mention that) or other dietary or endocrine problems.
