That reminds me about my mom, last year when she had meningitis. The fact that she almost died, really changed how I thought about her, and life in general. Suddenly, the fact that she's a pain in the ass sometimes(among other things), didn't matter anymore. I got a real taste of how much I am going to miss her, when she really is gone. Now, we are best friends. I visit her almost every day and will continue to do so, until the inevitable.

That's really bittersweet. Like, it's a sweet story, but thinking that her mom sent her all those virtual presents after she died..it's like, awwws. Getting weepy now, seriously.

I was waiting for the punchline, and it turns out, it's not a funny comic

I never in a million years would have thought a story about Animal Crossing would make me tear up.
