The Britain's Ugliest Building
That was a different looking building. It was obviously a 1960s attempt at modern architecture---perhaps influenced by some of the unusual Frank Lloyd Wright styles that he tinkered around in certain commercial projects. Sometimes he used a lot of concrete in a building---and this looked to be mostly concrete too.
Anyway, here is something interesting about British architecture. Whenever we look at pictures of London, the usual pics that show up are Big Ben, Parliament, and the Tower Bridge. Those seem to be the famous landmark sites. However, when the Tower Bridge was built---it was largely hated. People said it didn't fit in with the rest of the architecture of the city and that it was more or less an eyesore. Interesting---now it is as much a part of London's proud architectural heritage as Big Ben.
