No use crying over spilt milk.

Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free?

A brown cow does not give chocolate milk.

How now, brown cow?

A little honey sweetens the pot.

Every pot has its lid.

A square peg in a round hole.

Birds of a feather flock together.

A bird of a different feather.

A zebra without stripes.

A leopard doesn't change its spots.

Don't bury your head in the sand.

Dead as a Dodo.

Dumb as a Dodo.

Don't kick a dead horse.

Hmm, should I post actual quotes, or simply cliches? They seem to be in a different category.

My favourite:
"Better dead than dieting"
Here's one I used to scribble on the walls of airplane bathrooms as a kid:
"Please remain seated while bowels are in motion"
And of course, my signature saying,
"Small talk is for small minds."

Dogs may bark; the caravan moves on.

Reality is an illusion, albeit a very persistent one. (Einstein)

There is no greater moralist than a reformed whore.

No guts, no glory.

Hoka hey (in battle - it is a good day to die, in nonbattle situations - welcome to the soul(sometimes used to greet the rising sun); literally translated = hold fast. There is more)

And a quote from my mother from some time when I was whining to her (probably at 12-14 years fo age):

Sometimes, you just need someone to hold you close and say, "Life sucks."

mine comes from i dare you.

"decide which voice in your head can you keep alive."

or

"paint me you canvas so can become what you could never be."

i also like the end of remember me by journey were it says "Say you will, say you will" over and over.

and last one is from away from me by evanescence

i've woken now to find myself in the shadows of all i have created."

i like this one because i can relate to it cause there are times were torch 2 or well 3 now takes over my mind and i feel overwelmed and controlled by it. i say every word in that song relates to me.
