Well, whatever.
All I'm going to say (going by your terms) is that I would rather be a "guy" than a "man." But
I don't need to be macho to be and feel like a man.
If you feel like a man, than you are a man and no one else has a say in the matter. Besides, being macho is so overrated anyway.
Bah, this is silly, do whatever you want. I'll be a man and leave.
hm...
you got me thinking.
there WOULD be a reason, as to there IS a seperate word for "man" and "macho".
actually, ive witnessed several stereotypical übergeeks, one who lived with his grandmother in a secluded valley in the mountains here in norway, and collected old radios and knew every elvis song, thin and bony, huge glasses, thin hair, weird posture, strange sqeaky voice, the WHOLE PACKAGE
this was in the military, we got mandatory here, i went, stayed for 5 months, then went home early, i was fine tho, in the field, but in the barracks, that is 95% of the time (i was supply guy..) with the people, it was VERY energydemanding. the relations were okay, cus im a "funny guy", but all in all exhausting and depressing
this guy played out his part, as expected, by lagging behind, and thats from me, who lagged behind, and did everything slowly and clumsily (and im slow and clumsy, and finished long before him)
this guy redeemed all that, in the first week, for the rest of his time there, by:
getting up, and singing the crap out of everyone.
like a MAN!
goddamn, a booming voice and stuff
