I saw a piece on the overnight news last night about this company's 'unique relationship' with it's employees, and while I think they mean well, a lot of things they do that might seem like whimsical fun to many employees would be sheer psychological torture for an Aspie. Then I did a little further research and it actually sounds as though they're admitting to intentionally screening out (discriminating against) anyone with a social disability.

Zappos knows how to kick it
The quirky retailer has a reputation for flat-out fun.
There's also a full-time life coach. People come in to b***h, to look for confidential advice on how to move up - or out - or just to talk. The only rule is that they sit on a red velvet throne.
Other offbeat policies: Zappos managers are encouraged to spend 10% to 20% of their time with team members outside the office, and any employee can give any other employee a $50 bonus for a job well done.
Hsieh polls managers after they've taken teams to dinner or on a hike, and they invariably talk about improved communication, greater trust, and budding friendships.
If you need a wall between work and life, you probably wouldn't make it through the interview process anyway.
The Zappos HR team uses offbeat, wacky interview questions (How weird are you? What's your theme song? What two people would you most like to invite to dinner?) to screen for creativity and individuality while filtering out egomaniacs and wallflowers.
Hmm...I wouldn't want to work there anyway, but I don't care for the idea that they're already prepared to 'filter me out', before I even apply.
