I'm sorry, I just think animals are too much work and effort. I would rather sit somewhere and write or walk around when I'm old and not take care of pets.

I read that if you die in your house alone and have cats in the house with you that they will eat your body when they get hungry enough.

That's fine with me, it's not like I will be around to care. It's just a body. lol. I bet I'm tastier than a squirrel.

Not at all. Someone told me that I would as a child, and I was very offended and determined to prove that person wrong.

I grew up with lots of cats, maybe twenty at max, five at min, but was always traumatized by them getting killed by cars. I don't drive, either, at age 44, probably related.
I love cats. When I'm out walking, I always talk to every cat I see. Of course, I ignore the humans.
I agree with the post that animals are a lot of work. I'd rather just enjoy other people's cats.
But my best friend was always my cat, she got all my secrets long before any human friends.
I don't know. I made a deal with my husband, when we were in our twenties, that I would be allowed to keep five cats for every baby that I produced for him!! !
So far, one baby, and no cats.
We'll see.

I shall be a crazy old dog lady. :P Cats I don't understand. I don't see myself with cats--or if I do, it would be a cat that found its way into my life first, and was a friendly cat. Dogs, now... :D

I'll more likely be a crazy old anime lady. I'm already well on my way. :P

When I was a child and teenager, my mom always jokingly told me that I would grow up to be the old cat lady. I'm 25 and I see the truth to that statement lol

More than likely. My great aunt on mum's side was a crazy old cat lady so it's probably in the genes. I also love kitties.

I'm already up to eight cats. :D They have their own website, and in a week or so I'm hoping to finish the renovations on their gazebo... Garden, fountain, and a cat door to the kitchen.

I'm already a crazy old cat lady ... erm, make that dog lady, I'm allergic. I really really so very much wish I wasn't allergic! The other night on TV they spoke of cats as healers, that their purr is within the healing frequencies of the human body, and a woman said that if you're not well a cat will - well, you already know, don't you? Once I fell down the stairs at my sister's house and after she put me to bed, her cat came and sat on the bed and purred at me. I fell asleep and woke to the soft thump of the cat landing on the floor. I thought, "I must be better if the cat's leaving." And I was.

If I'm ill or depressed, I seem to attract cats.
