After a day of wearing pajama pants I decided to put on some jeans. When I put on my jeans I felt like my stomach had went up in several inches. I can still button and zip them and I've maintained my clothing size for quite some time so I don't think I've gained any weight. Does anyone else have this problem and do you think it's psychological?

It's probably psychological because the jammie pants weren't constricting and the jeans were. It was a change in sensation and you were sensitive to it. Some days I'm very sensitive to clothing sensations and other days not at all. Today must be a sensitive day for you, that's all.

I can't wear jeans, I feel too restricted.

I just wish that I was taller so I didn't have difficulty finding jeans.

I maintain a pretty consistent weight, too, but still find that what or how much I eat on a given day can change the way my jeans seem to fit. Salt intake can also cause bloating and that can make them feel more snug than they did the day before. I think its just one of those sensory things that can really stand out to an Aspie, that a more NT person probably wouldn't even notice.

If it's the length that bothers you, you can take them to the cleaners and they will alter them for you.

I have jeans that are the right length for me. I just either have to go to a JCP store or wait and see if Torrid has any jeans in a short length.

I know I'm going to have to buy a SPANX with my back to school money so I can feel more comfortable in my dresses. I have my eye on this one...

http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/my ... -plus-size

It's still available in a 3x so I'm happy. I also vary from store to store. According to one website I'm a 1x and then at another store I'm a 2x and then I'm a 3x. Sizing depends on the store and in my opinion it's very important to order the right size.

It's possible that your jeans shrunk a bit after washing. :) Mine feel tight right after washing and drying, but stretch out again after a few hours.

When I cut back on sugar two and a half years ago. I lost half a stone. Some of my jeans hang loosely on me but i've kept them for my "bloated" days.

I love jeans. I don't feel right anything other than jeans. When I was a kid I wanted to wear jeans like other kids but my mom said I was too fat and had to lose weight in order for them to fit. Apparently they didn't come in plus size until I was in my late teens. I hate sweat pants because they're ugly, they make my legs feel twice as fat, and little pills of lint gather between the thighs and I had to discreetly pick them off.

When I was a kid, I hated jeans. They were so stiff and uncomfortable! Having to walk in them and sit in them was torture!

I don't mind them much now.

I don't wear jeans very frequently. I'm old enough that I remember the term "dungarees" for them.

I wear chinos and button down shirts most of the time nowadays.

I don’t care for jeans because I don’t like the way they feel. I mostly wear leggings.

I'm exactly the same. I would even know what size I'd look for if I were to buy jeans or dress pants. I'm actually more likely to wear a dress or a skirt (as long as it is a knit and comfortable fabric) than jeans honestly. I've never been a fan of denim fabric and how it feels on me.
