Whole foods

Amazing

About eight years ago, epicurean solutions. Exotic bean salad and Mediterranean lentil salad and curried tofu

Hardly ever eat new foods

The tempeh bacon tasted too fat, but the nutrition facts said 50% of daily fat and 20% of daily saturated fats and that's not that bad

What amazing foods have you had recently?

I have a friend who is close to a couple who run a Sri Lankan catering company and she often provides us with the most amazing cuisine.
Her last donation to my welfare comprised half a dozen curries (this time was coconut and vegetable curries and lentil and spinach curries, but I very much enjoyed chicken curries and potato curries brought previously) she also brought half a dozen pies (butter chicken, vegetable or biryani) and best of all, 4 banana leaf meals. One chicken, one fish, one vegetable and the last one I haven't had yet.
They comprise 4 different vegetables, rice and fish/meat all cooked inside a banana leaf wrap.

I have no idea exactly what vegetables I'm eating, but they are all scrumptious.
I suspect I am the use-by date processor going by the quantities she donates, but who cares when they taste this good. I must remember to give her the 4 dozen spare eggs I've collected this month when I hit the city for a funeral on Friday.

I live in Texas so I eat a lot of Mexican food. I am pescatarian so my favorite are fish tacos. I couldn't tell you exactly what goes into them, just that the fish is seared and there's a little bit of piquant spice and some pico de gallo and avocado. I always get them on corn tortillas.

I also like Vietnamese food. I always get tofu with rice vermicelli, which also comes with greens and other raw veggies and a really tasty fish sauce.
