Three really deep ones if I don't include my husband and brother. Five if I do.

I have other friends as well but they are more casual. The ones above are my best friends who have stuck with me for many years.

I also have one that I trust and that I feel very close to that I have known for just over a year. And I am close to some of my cousins and my other siblings as well.

I have one very good friend, I went round to see her today.

For me she is the perfect friend. She has lots of friends, so this makes it easy for her to give me all the time in the world I need to recover in between visits.

We have a hell of a lot in common regardless of her being about 15 years younger than me.

When I got home from her house today, I suddenly realised that she will probably be my friend forever.

i have my BF, and one other not-close-but-still-a-friend friend (vs. acquaintance) in town.

nobody else close to me atm. usually i have at least a therapist.

a few folks have tried to befriend me, but for various reasons i resist (usually because i don't feel safe around them).

I'm usually quite avoidant of making friends but the friend I have I met at college. I think we hit it off because she was inquisitive about my unusual ways. but through that we found that we have a lot of the same attitudes about life.

Like I said before, it can be months in between meet ups but her door is always open for me.

I think apart from my daughter, she's probably pretty close to being family and I get on with her husband and all her family as well. :D

5, 4 of which are super close (and of those 2 are female, 1 is an ex), and another who I trust a hell of a lot but I don't get to see enough.

It's hard to say. I sometimes make short-term friends but then I always put them off eventually somehow. I think I recently put one off. There's another one who very actively sought my friendship but I'm currently in the process of putting him off, too. There's one that I have known for many years and that I see once in a while. He knows a lot about me and still accepts me. So he must be a friend.

I'm close to my parents and siblings.

I can easily make friends at work or wherever I go, but I'm never a one to swap phone numbers with people because I just enjoy being peaceful on my own for the most part.

I have one strong friendship that has lasted eight years and will hopefully continue. Am also friendly with the others in the group that come to play RPGs/boardgames at his house. Besides that, not really.

Family... especially my mother, I get along with very well. She knows what makes me tick and is very tolerant. She also has two cats who love to cuddle and play with me, so I'm also always happy to see them. :)

My father... that's a complex issue. He's been very aggressive and abrasive when he thinks I'm doing something wrong (since in his mind a good man would be one who lives according to his ideas)... but his heart is in the right place, even if sometimes he gets nasty. We do have a lot of a compatible worldviews. And he can be quite affectionate.

My maternal uncle is a great guy too, but I haven't seen him in a long time.
