The first special interest I can remember was whales. I was about 4 or 5 years old when it started.

Either dinosaurs or big cats.

The earliest special interest I had was probably horses. It's possible that I had special interests before that, but I don't remember.

I loved horses too but it was more of a love than a special, all-encompassing hyperfocus like the other things.

I must have had a lot of spare time on my hands because all the things on my list were very intense obsessions, as if they were all that existed in my world.

The Brontosaurus has always been my favourite dinosaur.

My first interest was skeletons when I was 5 years old. My sister made me a cardboard one and I carried it around until it wore out.

It's either music or boxes. I recall having it both at the same time at age 5 or so.

Cats and later on Warrior Cats. I was very much a Warriors kid in middle school, it was my whole personality.

The former still has some presence in my life, the latter not so much. The most I interact with it these days is looking at fanart for it sometimes.

Vehicles. I was into them when I was little and I've fallen back in love with collecting them this year.

I had to think about this one. The first one I remember would have to be dinosaurs. That's pretty standard for a kid I guess, but I don't think most kids have the whole evolutionary tree memorized when they're 9. (I don't anymore)

But I think there were ones before that. My parents have told me stories that suggest I had intense interests as a toddler that I don't remember. I'm not sure if those would count though since I didn't yet have the attention span for them to last more than a day or two.
