A Moderate Plan to Stop Offensiveness
neanthumain, i'm offended by the labeling of your characters as "Aspie1," "Aspie2" etc. this system implies that "Aspie1" is somehow better than "Aspie2" and "Aspie3." i think that it would be much safer if all three of them were all simply called "Aspie."
i am also offended by the exclusion of the british character from the romantic sub-plot of the dialogue.
All members of the community should be obliged to agree to and follow strictly these terms and be removed without ado for violating them:
- No avatars: The mood you're currently in, the interests you hold, or your conception of the aesthetic ideal might offend somebody.
- No emoticons, colored fonts, or graphics: Some people are hypersensitive to visual stimuli and may experience sensory overload.
- No opinions: The only opinions you can express are those accepted by the community, and our one uniting principle is that autism is a good thing and that neurodiversity should be encouraged.
- Don't discuss past mistreatment: Such discussions may cause more sensitive members to relive traumatic experiences. Also, it affirms an us-vs.-them mentality by conjuring negative stereotypes of a cold, uncaring NT-dominated society.
- Don't use negative adverbs or prefixes: Morphemes like not, un-, no, etc. can only lead to disagreement and the unacceptance of another person's point of view.
- Don't discuss different cultures: Other cultures have standards of acceptable behavior, customs, attitudes, and beliefs that may be quite different and often even wrong. For example, since it is already known that Jesus Christ is God, there is no need to bring Allah or the Buddha into conversation here.
- No politics: Some people think silly things about our leaders and how things should be run; they express their opinions that they obviously can't believe to be true because they're trolls who just want to offend people for their perverse sense of amusement. President George W. Bush is the new Christ, and we all know that.
- No debate on what constitutes family friendliness: If you don't know what family values are by the time you can use a computer, you need to go back to diapers.
- No questioning the moderators: The moderators are responsible for maintaining order and a presentation of this site as being a family-oriented site where no one is offended. This can't be done if their authority is questioned.
- No misspelling or misuse of punctuation: Some people are offended by a misplaced comma.
- No pity: People are offended if other people pity them because it makes them feel they are incapable.

Here is an example of the ideal conversation:
Aspie2: Yes, I have.
Aspie1: Why did you say, "Yes, I have," instead of, "Yes, I do"?
Aspie2: I said, "Yes, I have," instead of, "Yes, I do," because I'm from the United Kingdom rather than the United States.
Aspie3: I have Asperger's, too!
Aspie1: There, there, it'll be all right.
Aspie3: I have a rather large nose. Could this be a part of having Asperger's syndrome?
Aspie2: Yes, I have a rather large nose as well.
Aspie1: Me too!
Aspie3: I think I'm in love. Aspie1, will you marry me? You sound like my perfect companion.
...
"Captain! Captain! Our Satyrism Sensors are going off and there's damage to the Patience Module!"
"Switch to Wit Mode and counter that Satyrism with full blast Logic, Lieutenant!"
"Aye, Captain. . . . Captain! The Logic isn't working and Wit Mode is utilizing all our reserves! Should I lock and lode the Reverse Sarcasm Shield?"
"No, Lieutenant, warp speed 7. Let's see if we can pull out of here with as little damage as possible."
"Yes, Captain."

Ummmm... I knew that. I was simply pointing out that NeantHumain has an immoderate venereal appetite.

Ack!! You're IT!
RUN! She's IT!

Such a brilliant plan. T'would create a utopian society in which we are all happy and singing songs. Just let me get my rat poison and I'll be right over.
Although I prefer a different plan: People pull their head out of their butts and realize the world doesn't revolve them and their ideals and no one has to cater to their sensitivity.
No one at all???

Someday I will.
Of course, I'll charge money and I'll only do it an hour at a time.

But will you, as a psychotherapist, have the patience and understanding to deal with someone with Asperger's Syndrome???
(I ask this of all therapists these days.
