That type of music goes through my head every time I get a plumber to visit to fix something. No idea why...

Well, if you've got one of those picture-perfect kitchens where an uncanny line of Hersheys syrup and Rediwhip cans just magically happen to appear on the island a lot then there may well be something to that :P

Any thoughts on T-1000 or Chris Liberator?

I'm mainly into progressive rock, particularly Yes, Pink Floyd, Mostly Autumn, and Rick Wakeman. Other than that, I'm also into other classic rock groups such as Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard (I love those guys!), Toto, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, and Asia amongst others.

I don't really listen to modern music as much, most music from the 21st Century that I listen to is from Japan, mainly anime soundtracks, W-inds, and Gackt. The few Western groups that I do listen to are Linkin Park, Gorillaz, Depeche Mode (I've only heard their latest album so far so to me they count as modern :) ), Dragonforce, Blue Man Group, and The Contes. :)

Prog was my first major deviation from top 40 rock radio, back in the 80's. It kind of started when my sister the rabid Phil Collins disciple brought home Genesis' Invisible Touch album and I was like, whoa, something's wrong here - I'm not running from the room clutching my ears in pain at the sound of his voice! Anyway I got hooked to the point of snapping up some old Gabriel-era stuff like Foxtrot, Selling England By The Pound and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, which is still one of my all-time favourite albums.

From there I moved on to Pink Floyd (sure, they were always around, but my schoolmates were so into them that I had considered them overrated), Yes, King Crimson, Procul Harum, Frank Zappa (he'd be turning in his grave to be called progressive rock; but his influence on it was undeniable), small doses of Jethro Tull, and Mike Oldfield. To this day Sis has never quite come to terms with the fact that she created a monster, even though I got more into indie and jazz a few years later...

By the way - speaking of Mike Oldfield, I remember seeing a TV interview with him more than a decade ago...I don't want to jump to conclusions but there were more than a few AS traits going on there!

Hmmm... well, I'm gonna be honest. Chances are none of you have heard of these groups I'm naming:

Billy Gilman
Declan Galbraith
Dino
Angel Voices/Libera
The Choirboys
Boys' Air Choir
Hunter Hayes
Les Poppys
Inigo Byrne
Joey Pearson

These are all groups or individuals who are young (pre-pubescent) boys. The sing in a soprano voice, the highest achievable voice, and are sometimes called trebles.

Better known groups in this category include:

The Vienna Boys' Choir
The American Boys' Choir
The Moffats
Les Petits Chanteurs de Saint-Marc (from Les Choristes, the recent French chorister movie)

I also enjoy Jazz and Classical music as in:

Bach
Mozart
Beethoven
Ella Fitzgerald
and whatever the classical/Jazz radio station plays :-P
